The 21 (staple) Gun Salute

Mom had another visit from a home care nurse the other day. She continues to improve a little each day. Her voice is also slowly getting better. As you can imagine, she strongly desires to be disconnected from the drainage tubes and the feeding pump that is her constant companion. She wants FOOD, REAL FOOD. Who can blame her. She hasn't had it since Dec. 15th. She has an appointment on Monday in Pittsburgh so we are hoping that she can get rid of some of the baggage she is carrying around. She still does experience occasional discomfort and has difficulty falling asleep. In case anyone was wondering, Mom has 21 staples across her abdomen. That's the latest news.

Hi Marilyn, I was wondering about all the equipment you had connected to you. Now I know, thanks Jenny for the update. That is quite an incision! So glad you are doing so well. Praise the Lord!! Joyce

Hi Marilyn,
You are an apparition, aren't you?
Great to hear the good news that you are hungry. God is the great Healer! We will pray for better sleep for you.

Aunt Marilyn,

No wonder you can't sleep! Who can sleep with all the "attachments". I'm glad you're still making good progress. I will pray that you can start eating real food soon.

Love,

Kim

Marilyn (it is hard for me to call you that), I'm praying that the weather holds out for your trip to Pittsburgh Monday and that you will safely come home tubeless. Also praying for strength and sleep. Not that you are forgotten, Jenyl, I am praying for you, too.
