Tomorrow is Tom's birthday. Seeing as we all have either work or school, I made a cake today. Here are some before and after photos. I also tried to make Heidi's chicken cacciatore recipe with the polenta. The cacciatore was fine but I misjudged the timing of the polenta. It was described by the kids as having a glue like consistency.... Heidi's was really good. Not glue like at all. Oh well, at least the carrot cake was a hit.

Just add more chickenstock to the polenta if it gets to thick to get to the right consistency. Happy Birthday Tom!
