I think since I arrived on Monday it has snowed about every day. But let me back up a minute. Heidi and her family were here to celebrate Christmas with Mom & Dad while Alison headed to Albany, NY to her inlaws. Unfortunately, Heidi & gang had to leave on Sunday to pick up their two chocolate labs from the doggie spa kennel (where they are referred to as "kids,") and where Heidi had to buy them a present to open on Christmas day since all the other "kids" had one to open but Heidi had been remiss and had to purchase one in the convenient doggie spa shop, much to Scott's dismay. I drove in on Monday and met Mom & Dad in New Castle for the viewing of a long time family friend, Ron Urban. Our paths crossed with the Urbans in many ways and Ron was the one to help Mom learn the computer and get her to the point where she knows more and can do more on the computer than me. The rest of my family came in on Wednesday and thus started the Walmart runs. The picture of today's snowfall was taken by Richard Miller (our neighbor). This isn't our road but still gives you an idea of what it looks like here...beautiful. I wish I had my camera when an Amish buggy went by with it's contrasting black horse and buggy. We were out shoveling the driveway and hauling wood to the garage when a snowmobile went down the road. You don't see that everyday either.
We were all home for Thanksgiving and have some rather amusing pictures that we would like to post once we figure out whose camera or phone they are on and transfer them to Mom's computer. May God bless you all in this New Year.

Dear Rod, Marilyn & family,
We praise God that He has brought you through a very difficult year with His amazing provision and compassion. We wish you His best in this New Year!
Our love,
Regis and Cathy
P.S. Heidi may have had a weak moment and purchased gifts for the "kids" to open on Christmas, but Scott actually paid for a Report Card from the kennel/spa for the "kids"! Strange happenings in Ligonier......
Yes well I did give in to peer pressure in a moment of weakness. You all will be happy to know that Chase and Abby had a glowing report card with lots of comments like bring them back soon we love having them here! They also apparently had fun with their new friends Asa and Dyna(Both yellow labs)and shared their Christmas toys when on their field trip to the off leash park. Note this is the main reason we take them there. They have a wonderful over 20 acre fenced in off leash park that you can sign your "kids" up to go on a "field trip" to in addition to their regular run. Truely it is a wonderful place and they take great care of the dogs. You can go as nuts as you would like including private suites with beds and TV's to the more typical regular kennel rooms as well as aroma therapy, massage and facial treatments- Hey maybe I will go there for my next vacation. We take our dogs there because they get lots of excercise. After my confession to Scott regarding the Christmas presents he said he would take care of dropping the dogs off from now on! Just a little more follow up- the dogs love going they dragged Ian (no small feat) across the parking lot to get inside once they realized where they were and after Scott picked them up they were still playing with the balls that we got for them for Christmas they have handles and they like to pick them them up and toss them in the air and chase after them. Chase and Abby'spuppies turned 1 year old this Christmas and we have kept in touch with several of the new owners who have let us know that they are doing well. One in particular Savanah likes to blow bubbles with her nose in her water dish- her owner has bought her , her very own baby pool to play in!
Heidi
THANK YOU all for coming to the viewing, and I think to the memorial. I didn't see you but someone said you were there. THANK YOU for making the trip! I have enjoyed keeping in touch with the family through this blog from the beginning. PLEASE enjoy this time with your MOM and DAD. I never would have dreamed that when the report came that Dad had cancer, we would end up saying "see you on the other side" 22 days later on Christmas Eve. The LORD has been so good to us, and WHAT a BLESSING it has been that it was such a short time. We are so THANKFUL for the DEAR FRIENDS that shared Dad with us. THANK YOU also for the wonderful pictures of HOME! I truly LOVE each picture and wish I could be there. Consider yourself {{{{{HUGGED}}}}}}!
GO COLTS!!!! (I had to say that!)
